26-year-old New Haven, Connecticut mother Hope Brodie was charged with poisoning her 5-year-old daughter on Monday via a cooking pot LACED with the hallucinogen PCP according to news reports. On Sunday May 8 (Mother’s Day ironically), the child’s aunt cooked the child a pot of noodles, unknowingly in a pot with traces of the illegal drug. The child began hallucinating shortly after eating the noodles and was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital. There she was treated for “internal irregularities,” according to The Associated Press.
Brodie has been charged with risk of injury to a minor, and the Department of Children and Families is currently investigating the incident.
Management REALLY wants to KNOW why wasn’t the POT washed out correctly, AND when did a “certain” minority become interested in cooking PCP? Hhhhhmmmm.
